Ian on the piano - Tong Hua
Ever since Ian heard me play Tong Hua on the piano (more than a year ago), he has been 'practising' even though he has not started any piano lessons. He played only the melody on his right hand but we all realised he has the 'ear' to pick up quickly.
He has since started proper lessons for about 6 months or more. And Tong Hua remains his favorite song. Of course, he can now play with both hands......

Soccer Camp
During the June school holidays, we enrolled the 2 boys into a soccer camp conducted by some S-League players and ex-internationals. It was a 4-day camp at Turf City.
Ian was super excited and charged up weeks before the camp. He will practise at home. He will eat, sleep and talk soccer non stop. He watches ESPN first thing in the morning before school. He will follow the news on Ronaldo's tranfer to Real Madrid etc. Despite being only 6 year old, he can match the player to their jersey numbers on the Man U team. I was amazed he even recognised Vidic, even though he wasn't the most popular player in the Man U team.
On the first day of the camp, Ian played in the 5-7 yr old group and his team won 7-4. Ian scored all 7 goals.
The next day, they promoted him to the 7-9 yr old group and he still managed to score 1 goal.
Needless to say, his head swelled. His coach called him "Ronaldo" and he was enjoying the limelight and attention for days.
At the end of the camp, Ian was recognised as the best "student" among 50 (approx) of them.
Of course, Ryan had lots of fun too. He has to play in the 9-12 yr old group. SOme of his team mates dressed like professionals with shin guards and stuffs. Don't play play man!
Btth ended the 4-day camp with well tanned bodies. Cool!
