Roller blading

Ryan has taken a strong interest in roller blading. His cousin started the craze and I heard he has been borrowing his blades.

I decided to buy him a pair of blades. While he was trying on his new blades at the store, I realised he could not blade properly. He could move but not steady. So I signed him up for a lessons on the spot.

Here are some of the pictures during his 1st 2 lessons.

"Lions" in blue

Singapore just played Thailand in the 1st leg final of the Asean Soccer tournament. The boys gathered at san-yi's house to watch the game. I was not there but I could tell Ian picked up a little about local soccer from that outing. Just a little......

I was at home watching a Chelsea game and Ian asked me...

Ian: Singapore playing again?

Me: No.... this is Chelsea.

Ian: But they are wearing blue jersey what??

Me: Many teams wear blue jersey. Not just Singapore For example....Everton......... Portsmouth......

Ian: Huh??

Me: Never mind. This is not Singapore. We are playing again on Sunday.

Ian: Then Singapore will wear blue jersey?

Me: I don't think so. Now we are playing in away in Thailand. We should be wearing another colour.

Ian: Why? I like blue.

Me: (I was thinking of a simple way to explain and Chelsea scored)

Ian: Goal! Go Singapore...!!

Me: This is not Singapore!

Ian: Yes... it's blue!

Soccer is such a beautiful game. No point confusing a 4-year old boy over jerseys at the start of his interest for the game.
